Albie Thomas
St George District Athletics Club will again host the Albie Thomas Bayside Fun Run next Sunday.
Thomas was a triple Olympian and multiple world record holder, regarded as one of Australia’s greatest ever distance runners.
The run will be held at Peter Depena Reserve, Dolls Point, with the course lining the Brighton-Le-Sands foreshore.
The event will raise money for the Knights of St George Heart Association to help buy equipment for the Cardiothoracic Unit at St George Hospital.
The 2km fun run starts at 8.30am, followed by the 5km event at 9am.
