Words and illustrations came to life for children across Australia this month as part of an event that promotes literacy in early childhood learning.
The National Simultaneous Storytime event, held on May 23, encouraged preschools to spark children’s imaginations at the same time by reading a book as their fellow organisations.
Woronora Heights Community Preschool enjoyed a reading of Hickory Dickory Dash, by Big Fat Smile’s chairman, David Campbell.
The annual event is in its 18th year and is an initiative of the Australian Library and Information Association.
