Re the article “One big No Stopping zone” (Leader, May 23).
1.5 parking spots per two bedroom unit. You can't park half the second car, so it's on the street. Should be minimum 2 per unit.

And because there is not enough storage in the units the parking spaces are used for storage so both cars end up on the street.

I understand progress but the quality of life here is about to change even more dramatically once these apartments are all filled. The shire is choking.

In response to the comments about the shire becoming too cramped by K Baker of Engadine (Your View, May 23).
I couldn’t agree more.
There are so many cranes in the shire now. There are also too many duplexes being built where perfectly good homes have been demolished.
Everywhere you go there is some sort of construction going on.
My husband and I were of the view that we would always live in the shire but have now made plans to move away from Sydney altogether.
Too many people, too much traffic.
