Well said, Cr Con Hindi (Leader, May 23).
The new low-density housing code will "ruin suburbs like Oatley and surrounding areas".
However, the flawed plan for a five-storey high rise on the bowling club site in Myles Dunphy Reserve (hatched in secret by the controversial Hurstville City Council) will absolutely devastate Oatley.
So, seeing you are so concerned about our suburbs, councillor, how about a motion to rescind that unnecessary grab for public parkland as well?
Your former Hurstville colleagues, Crs Kastanias, Badalati, Wu and Liu will hopefully support you on this and help put the unpopular skeleton back in the closet for good.
