The difference between an ordinary and a great bloom often depends on the soil, this is especially true with roses said Secretary of the Southern Sydney Rose Society, Lyndall Turner.
Local residents can learn how to improve their soil at the June meeting of the Southern Sydney Rose Society from soil expert, Lorrie Zammit.
Anyone interested in their soil, soil conditions and how to improve it is welcome to attend. You don't have to be a member of the Rose Society, and there is no charge for entry and everyone is welcome.
The guest Speaker will discuss local soil conditions and how to improve your soil to gain maximum benefit for all garden plants including Roses and vegetables- so much depends on the condition of the soil and the importance of having good soil which is easier to improve than many people imagine.
