A special visitor dropped into the shire earlier this month to put some young goalkeepers through their paces.
Newcastle Jets No.1 Jack Duncan was on hand to help out as part of esteemed goalkeeper coach Ron Tilsed’s clinic at Barden Ridge.
Tilsed, a former Arsenal and England youth goalkeeper, is running an eight-week clinic for 30 keepers from Barden Ridgebacks and Bangor Brumbies.
Duncan, a Sutherland Sharks junior from Grays Point, has been a regular member of Australian youth teams. The 25-year-old returned to the A-League after leaving his Danish club Randers FC to join the Newcastle Jets in June, 2016.
Duncan helped the Jets to the A-League grand final in May but was forced to miss the controversial loss to Melbourne Victory after tearing his quadriceps in Newcastle’s semi-final win over Melbourne City.
