Labor is revelling in reports Pauline Hanson's One Nation could be operating in breach of electoral laws.
A One Nation official has written to the NSW Electoral Commission, raising concerns the state branch didn't have local balance sheets or reports because it was mostly controlled out of Queensland.
"It was clear from our meeting on 22 May 2018 that operating the party by remote control from Queensland may be in breach of the NSW funding and disclosure laws," state secretary Peter Breen wrote, according to Fairfax Media.
Mr Breen is seeking the commission's assistance to lodge financial records by the June 30 end-of-financial-year deadline.
Labor deputy leader Tanya Plibersek said on Tuesday Senator Hanson had a lot to answer for, and continued to betray the people who had voted for her.
"I think she's got a lot to answer for. I think the chaos in her party shows that she's not representing the views of her members," Ms Plibersek told reporters in Canberra.
For Labor frontbencher Brendan O'Connor, "it would be funny if it wasn't so serious".
"We've got a political party that's completely disintegrated and of course, that leads to instability," he also told reporters in Canberra.
One Nation recently lost its NSW senator Brian Burston, who's now formally aligned himself with Clive Palmer's new United Australia Party.
Pauline Hanson is now left with just one parliamentary colleague, Western Australia's Peter Georgiou.
