On Sunday, June 2 we lost our beautiful little dog under tragic circumstances. She was hit by a car outside our home on the street. Unfortunately the driver did not stop.
A lovely couple going on their Sunday afternoon walk found her and stopped and called my number of her tag.
I’d like to urge anyone who ever may be in a situation where they accidentally hit or run over a pet ... please, please, please stop, as hard and distressing or scared you may feel, please stop and call their owner and offer assistance.
This pet could be a person’s only companion, or a child’s playmate, they have a family.
To the very lovely, kind, caring couple who saw my dog and stopped and called (M & M) you know who you are ... I cannot thank you enough for your assistance, your help (as I had lost it), to collect her and to calm me down and advise me.
I don’t know what I would have done if I had found her myself.
If anyone along Russell/Neville Street, Oatley saw anything that could provide some answers and lend to our closure, please contact the Leader for my details.
