Re the article "Move to stop abuse of parking stations" (Leader, June 13).
One wonders who is abusing whom, i.e. commuters using shopping etc, spaces for the entire day, shoppers using commuter spaces for an hour or two, similarly hospital patients or business clients, or the government who isn’t providing sufficient parking for all.
Commuters, patients and business clients are shoppers and commuter too. Divide and rule seems the current strategy.
At any rate there will be a long wait for individualised or personal free all day parking within combined business, shopping, hospital, train station centres.

On a Sunday I go to Woolies at Kogarah and park in the commuter car park, it is undercover and convenient. The car park is never full as it is the weekend. Now I will have to pay to park. The council continues to allow more high rise without sufficient parking.
