Now is the time to prune your rose bushes to make sure they deliver a magnificent display of blooms in Spring.
Yet few garden chores are faced with more trepidation than rose pruning.
Southern Sydney Rose Society will help to take the fear of pruning away at a special workshop being held on Saturday, July 21 from 1pm at Woronora Memorial Park, 121 Linden Street, Sutherland.
Society secretary Lyndall Turner said the demonstration was open to all and you don’t have to be a member to take part.
It is free and you can bring your own secateurs and gloves if you have them, or just come along and learn how to prune your roses to maximum advantage when it comes time for them to flower again, whether you have one or 100 roses.
