Kareena Private Hospital has launched new services that aim to extend continuity of care when returning home from injury or illness.
It now operates an outpatient rehabilitation clinic that offers services including hydrotherapy sessions that are conducted by physiotherapists who are trained in aquatic therapy, and occupational therapy.
Previously the hospital only offered rehabilitation services to patients when they were admitted to the hospital.
Ramsay Health Plus introduced the service on July 3.
The focus will address muscular-skeletal conditions, sports injury management and post-operative orthopaedic care, with plans to expand the service to include Pilates and Tai-Chi training.
It is anticipated that in the coming months the service will include Pilates and Tai-Chi training.
