Charlotte Perkins has been crowned state champion at the Jack Newton Junior Golf NSW junior championships.
Charlotte, a member at Cronulla Golf Club, won the under-14s girls title after playing at Belmont and Charlestown golf clubs in Newcastle last week.
Four consistent rounds in the 80s were enough for Charlotte to finish as the scratch winner by four shots with a total of 327. Charlotte was also the nett winner by 13 shots.
In the open boys division, Bexley pair Jeffrey Guan and Harrison Crowe finished fifth and sixth respectively, while Kogarah Golf Club member Ali Rachid also secured a top 10 result.
It has been a busy time for Charlotte, who came third overall in the girls division at the NSW All Schools trials at Riverside Oaks. Charlotte also finished first among Catholic schools girls players and was the nett winner of the competition.
She then took part in the JNJG Greg Chalmers Competition at Shelly Beach Golf Club on the Central Coast where she was the scratch runner up for the under-14 to 15s girls division.
The tough schedule saw Charlotte play 10 rounds in 11 days.
Charlotte’s good form continues her recent success after she was named the Jack Newton Junior Golf junior girl rookie of the year for 2017.
