A hat-trick of tries to Christian Kagiassis helped Southern Districts to a 71-33 thrashing of Gordon on Saturday.
The Rebels ran in 11 tries at Chatswood Oval in the penultimate Shute Shield round of the season to finish 38-point winners.
Matt Gibbon, Shambeckler Vui, Conor Mitchell, Marcus Carbone, Apolosi Latunipulu, Denny Godinet, Rowland Kotobalavu and Will Thomas also crossed for the Rebels.
Souths remain in seventh place heading into the final round but will be unable to catch sixth-placed Eastern Suburbs, with Easts to be handed a 28-0 victory over Penrith after the Emus’ removal from the competition.
The Rebels host Warringah in the final round on Saturday. The day will also be the club’s end of season wrap party.
Meanwhile, Souths’ Colts 1 side came from behind to down Gordon 40-28.
The Rebels’ women’s side will take on Nagato Blue Angels, a touring Japanese club, at Forshaw Rugby Park on Tuesday night from 5.30pm.
