Flow Hive is an Australian Made and Australian Invented honey harvesting product and makes harvesting honey as simple as turning a tap.
Flow Hive is donating 100 per cent of profits from sales of its Flow Pollinator House that sold out last year in the United States and Australia. This funding will be directed to organisations that support local grassroots pollinator projects.
The Illawarra Beekeepers have made the shortlist of the Pollinator Support Program and will use the funding to help cover some of the costs involved in putting on a children's program in October.
Their project is a school holiday program for primary school aged kids to attend the Illawarra Beekeepers for informative and practical courses on bees and pollinators and their importance in the community and how they can help protect them.
Each participant will dress in protective clothing and have a look inside a working hive, learn about bees and pollinators, the important role they play in our community and they will get to make a pollinator hotel to take home.
Having made the shortlist they now have to go to the voting stage which will run until August 16 and winners will be announced on August 18.
Voting is through the Flow Facebook page and also on the Illawarra Beekeepers website and Facebook page which will have links to vote.
