In reference to the article “Phadke case report sought” (Leader, July 25).
I echo the words of Michael Douglas ‘‘questions remain over the handling of the complaint against Dr Phadke”.
I also know that the handling of the complaint has impacted patients of Dr Phadke as the people running the investigation did not handle it with compassion for the patients that were caught up in this.
The patients, that through no choice of their own, had to be dragged through this after already battling the toughest test of their lives.
I would like to see the report from the internal inquiry that the committee is requesting under the freedom of information act.
I have asked for this myself and was given all excuses as to why this could not be given due to confidentiality etc.
I was not after the entire report - I just wanted the section that pertained to my Mum. It has to be much greater in length than the pathetic letter we received at the end of the inquiry with a a few sentences that were nothing more than contradictory.
The voice of the patients also needs to be heard. They deserve more information.
