Fresh from months of tough training and ready to protect the community, these are the new faces to join Sutherland Police Area Command.
The graduates participated in an induction day today, following a NSW Police attestation ceremony on August 17 at Goulburn.
This year Sutherland Police welcomes 15 probationary constables to its ranks – the highest amount of recruits in the central metropolitan region.
A total of 246 graduates join NSW Police in 2018.
Sutherland Police commander, Superintendent Jason Box, says the latest recruits are a very welcome addition to the command.
“The new staff are diverse in age – 19 to 41, backgrounds and life experiences,” he said.
“All are keen and enthusiastic to commence their policing career and protect the community of the Sutherland Shire.
“They will assist Sutherland Shire Police Area Command in maintaining the focus of high visibility policing, engaging with the public and being where they are needed.
“I wish them all the best in their new careers.”
