Riverwood is the luckiest suburb when it comes to Lotto super wins lately.
A father from the suburb snagged a whopping $50 million, after unknowingly carrying the winning ticket in his wallet for the past two days.
He one of the two division one winners nationally in Thursday’s $100 million Powerball draw.
It comes after a Riverwood shopper won $3.88 million just a few weeks ago.
The man told NSW Lotteries he was shocked at his new fortune, thanks to a ticket he purchased at Broadarrow Newsagency, Narwee.
“It’s crazy – it’s a lot of money to win,” he said.
“This morning I heard the winner was from the Bankstown area and they hadn’t found them yet. I usually only check my tickets every few weeks.
“So I got my son to check the numbers for me online…I’m guarding this ticket with my life.”
The regular Lotto player said he his wife worked hard all their lives to raise their family. He plans on retiring early and setting his family up for the future.
