UPDATE
A Bangladeshi man appeared in Sutherland Local Court on Monday charged with the attempted sexual assault of two women after using the website @Couchsurfing to meet them.
The 30-year-old from Wolli Creek was charged on Sunday with two counts of attempted sexual assault and two counts of indecent assault involving a Japanese national and a Brazilian national.
Both female tourists had met the man through the website which assists people to find friendships and accommodation while travelling.
The alleged assaults took place a basement carpark of a unit block in Wolli Creek and in a car at Audley Weir in The Royal National Park.
The man was arrested yesterday after a police pursuit ended in a crash. He has also been charged with two counts of Police pursuit (Sykes Law) and dangerous driving and mid-range PCA.
He was refused bail this afternoon in Sutherland Court.

A Wolli Creek man has been charged after two women were allegedly indecently assaulted after using a social media application to find friendships and accommodation.
On Thursday, August 16, a 27-year-old Japanese national used a social media application to meet with the 30-year-old man and then go out to socialise with other people.
Police will allege the woman was taken to a basement carpark of a unit block in Wolli Creek, where the man allegedly indecently assaulted her. She fought the man off before running from the car.
On Saturday, August 18, a 38-year-old Brazilian national sought accommodation from the same man utilising the same social media application.
The woman met the man along with other people at The Rocks and agreed to get in the car with him.
It is alleged the woman was driven to Audley Weir in The Royal National Park where he indecently assaulted her in the car.
She escaped the man, running from his car, before flagging down a motorist and reporting the matter to Sutherland Shire Police.
About 12.45am yesterday police arrested a man following a police pursuit and a collision.
He was taken to St George Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis returning a reading of 0.105.
He was also interviewed about the alleged indecent assault matters and charged with two counts of attempted sexual assault, two counts of indecent assault, two counts of Police pursuit (Sykes Law), dangerous driving and mid-range PCA.
He was refused bail and is expected to appear in Sutherland Local Court today.
The application is commonly used by tourists travelling in varying countries.
