Age is no creative barrier to passionate photographer Norm Heald, who captured a winning shot of a bird in his backyard.
At 91, the Gymea resident is a keen snapper of all things nature.
He recently won the Charles Watkins Memorial Trophy for the Image of the Year at the Cronulla Sharks Photography Club for his photo of a rainbow lorikeet.
Mr Heald received his trophy at the annual exhibition.
He says he enjoys processing images on his computer, and says photography can be enjoyed at any age.
“It has kept me active and mentally alert learning to use my computer and has increased my enjoyment of my surroundings when I look around for things to photograph,” he said.
