A man died when the car he was driving crashed on to train tracks at Como overnight.
A police spokesman said, about 11.15pm on Tuesday, a Ford Falcon sedan was travelling on Como Parade when it left the road and hit an embankment, landing on the tracks.
“The male driver and sole occupant, aged in his 40s, died at the scene,” the spokesman said.
“Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
“As inquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the crash, anyone with information is urged to come forward.
“A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.”
