Georges River Council has released details of its $1.5 million upgrade of its customer service hubs at Kogarah Library and Hurstville Civic Centre.
The council engaged Figgis and Jefferson TEPA to prepare detailed designs for the new customer service hubs.
The design principles of the new customer service hubs is to provide a warm, welcoming and contemporary atmosphere.
The new customer service hubs aim to provide customers with a unique experiences that allows a “one stop shop” for all their community needs.
The new Hurstville Civic Centre customer service centre will include a concierge area, self-service kiosks, additional service desks and customer waiting areas.
It will feature a vertical garden wall at the entrance where they will be greeted by a concierge.
The waiting area will have comfortable lounges, information display monitors and self-service computers.
There will be two meeting rooms, one able to hold 20 people and the other 10 people which the public can book and which will be equipped with smart boards and internet access.
The space will be designed as a multi-use space that can be booked for events after-hours and on weekends.
The new Kogarah Library customer service hub will include additional service desks, customer waiting areas and additional office space.
