Police want to speak with a young man who emptied the contents of a fire extinguisher into the kitchen area of Sylvania McDonald’s on the weekend.
The alleged assault and malicious damage took place around 2.15am on Saturday morning.
Sutherland Shire Police are seeking assistance from the public to identify the man who entered the McDonald’s restaurant accompanied by another male.
The male offender pointed a fire extinguisher at a staff member then allegedly emptied the contents in the direction of the kitchen area.
The two males ran from the premises shortly after. No staff were injured.
The man police would like to speak to is described as Caucasian, approximately 18 to 25 years old, short brown hair, wearing a white t shirt, blue denim shorts and white joggers.
It is believed the men were asked to leave the restaurant after arguing with the manager.
