Bexley resident Harrison Crowe has been listed as a finalist in the Golf NSW Amateur Player of the Year category.
The award is part of the inaugural NSW Golf Industry Awards – a joint venture between Golf NSW, the PGA of Australia (NSW/ACT), Golf Management Australia (NSW), Jack Newton Junior Golf, the NSW Golf Course Superintendents Association and the Australian Ladies Professional Golf.
It is an award ceremony designed to acknowledge and celebrate outstanding achievements in golf as well as volunteers and contributions to local clubs and communities.
Crowe, 16, is one of six amateur golfers shortlisted for the award, which will be won by one male and one female. His competition includes two of his 2018 NSW Men’s Interstate teammates – Blake Windred, 20, and Nathan Barbieri, 21.
This year has already been a successful one for Crowe, who won the Australian All-Schools title at Bonville Golf Resort in August. He also became the first male since 2013 to be selected for both the NSW Boy’s and the NSW Men’s Interstate teams in the same year.
The winners of the award will be announced at a gala night in Marsfield next month.
