Never-been-warn bridals gowns will be available for a fraction of the cost, with money raised going to a good cause.
A Sydney bridal store Smik has donated close to 200 dresses to Mission Australia’s North Wollongong Op Shop.
Prices will be set between $50 and $200 for the wedding couture which normally has tags into the thousands.
Mission Australia spokeswoman Danielle Warner said it would be a case of first in best dressed when the doors open at 9am on Thursday, September 27.
“You really don’t need to spend big to put together a coveted look for your walk down the aisle,” she said.
“Plus, your contribution to our charity ... will help us to provide essential services to people in need.”
Each year the organisation provides work experience and training to more than 280 unemployed jobseekers and provides community engagement to more than 300 volunteers.
The Op Shops service 150,000 community members who are experiencing disadvantage each year as well as provide emergency essentials to individuals and families in need.
The bridal sale runs until Monday October 1.
Ms Warner said there would also be a formal dress sale in the near future.
