If you haven’t had time to catch The Adventurous Gardener exhibition at Hazelhurst Arts Centre – don’t despair.
Hazelhurst is extending the exhibition by Cronulla artist Alexander McKenzie by one week due to its popularity.
It will now close on Sunday, October 28.
The exhibition, which showcases 42 of McKenzie's most significant works, opened at the Gymea gallery on August 25.
So far around 17,500 people have seen The Adventurous Gardener after an opening night crowd of more than 400.
McKenzie is known for his evocative, luminous landscape paintings.
Many of the paintings in the Hazelhurst exhibition have not been seen together before as they are largely from private collections around the country.
