Ken Done will visit Cronulla this Friday to talk about his life as one of Australia’s best-known artists and his time as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
Mr Done will be the guest-speaker at the Cronulla South Probus Club’s monthly meeting, to be held at the South Cronulla Bowling Club.
He is visiting at the invitation of his cousin, Probus Club member Susan Davis.
She promises that it will be an amusing and interesting talk.
“Ken’s going to talk about his life, where he stated and where he is now,” Mrs Davis said.
“He’s gregarious and funny and will tell amusing anecdotes about his life.
“He is well-known to so many Australians but not many have had a chance to actually meet him. This will give them a chance to do just that,” she said.
“Ken will also give a powerpoint presentation on his art and how it has changed over the years.
“And he will also talk about his 30 years as a Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF and the people he has met in that role including Audrey Hepburn and Roger Moore. Hopefully, he will also talk about his meeting with Princess Margaret.”
The Cronulla South Probus Club meeting will be held at South Cronulla Bowling Club, 17 Chelmsford Avenue, Cronulla this Friday, October 19 starting at 10am.
Ken Done’s talk should start at 11am.
All visitors are welcome.
