A Riverwood woman couldn’t contain her excitement at having her work day interrupted by a NSW Lotteries official.
“You’ve absolutely made my day!” she cried when told she was now $200,000 richer.
The woman had won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1147, drawn on Tuesday.
The winner was busily going about her work day when contacted by NSW Lotteries.
“I don’t think I’ve ever given anyone my undivided attention as much as I am to you right now,” she said.
“It’s overwhelming.”
The regular Lucky Lotteries player shared she already knew what she would do with her winnings.
“First, I’ll be guarding this ticket with my life,” she laughed.
“I’ll probably pay off the mortgage. This will take a big chunk of it and it will be a big weight off my shoulders.
“I’m sure I’ll manage to find a little treat for myself too.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her entry of one random number at Lucky Len, Shop 35, Riverwood Plaza, 257 Belmore Road, Riverwood.
Lucky Len owner Martin Ali said it was always a pleasure to hear of another winner at his outlet.
“That’s great news. We have lovely customers so we’re always happy when they win,” he said.
“This is our fourth Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize winning entry we’ve sold since we’ve been here, which was about five years ago. That’s almost one a year.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $24.28 million for draw 1148 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $890,000 for draw 10253.
