In celebration of World Teachers Day, two dedicated high school teachers from St George and Sutherland Shire have been rewarded for doing the job they love.
Teachers’ Guild of NSW announced its recipients of the 2018 World Teachers Awards on October 26.
It was an occasion to acknowledge the achievements of teachers who improve practice, find new ways to engage with students, and develop relationships with the community.
The outstanding professional contribution to education made by a select group of teachers was officially recognised by Education Minister Rob Stokes.
St John Bosco College Engadine teacher Allyse Miskle was a finalist in the senior school division, and Blakehurst High School’s Bahia Malas received a world teacher’s recognition award.
