A man stabbed in the chest outside a fast food outlet at South Hurstville this morning crashed his car into parked cars after leaving the scene.
About 6.30am on Monday, officers from St George Police Area Command were called to a fast food outlet on King Georges Road after reports of an altercation between two men.
It is believed the men, who were known to each other, became involved in a fight in the car park of the fast food outlet before a 25-year-old man was stabbed in his chest area.
One man is believed to have fled the scene in a white Renault van.
A short time later, police received reports a Toyota Corolla crashed into stationary vehicles on Evans Street, Sans Souci.
Officers located a 25-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his chest at a nearby residence.
He was taken to St George Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Police will speak to him when his condition permits.
Police are looking for a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.
Investigations continue.
