Bayside Council is seeking feedback on a proposal to make three streets in Wolli Creek one-way to improve the flow of traffic and increase safety for pedestrians and cyclists.
Bayside Council mayor Bill Saravinovski said there were two options on the table.
“Option one is to make sections of Arncliffe Street, Guess Avenue and Mount Olympus Boulevard one-way.
Option two includes Magdalene Terrace in the proposal.
“The one way system will reduce the amount of through traffic using these residential streets as a rat run to avoid the Princes Highway,” Councillor Saravinovski said
“The design will also improve pedestrian and cyclist safety when using the Guess Avenue rail Underpass.
“Before any decision is made we are seeking feedback from the community.
“Interested parties can comment online by visiting Council’s website and clicking on Have Your Say.”
The deadline for comments or submissions is November 25, 2018.
