Bayside Council has announced its program Christmas festivities with the return of four outdoor events including Carols by the Sea at Brighton-Le-Sands.
Mayor Bill Saravinovski said council staff are hard at work preparing for the Christmas events that have become the highlight of our festive calendar.
“I hope you have the opportunity to enjoy these events and on behalf of Council I would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year,” Councillor Saravinovski said.
The festive program kicks off with Carols in the Park hosted by Monica Trapaga. This will take place at Mascot Memorial Park, on Saturday, December 1 from 3pm to 7.30pm.
“Carols in the Park has grown into a popular event that brings our diverse community together to celebrate in the beautiful Mascot Memorial Park,” Cr Saravinovski said.
Carols by the Sea will be held at Lady Robinsons Beach, Brighton-Le-Sands on Saturday, December 8 from 6pm.
“Carols by the Sea is a very traditional Australian way to celebrate the spirit of Christmas,” he said.
“Hosted by Jay Laga’aia it features local community groups singing your favourite Christmas carols.”
Christmas Movie at the Pool will be held at the Botany Aquatic Centre, Friday December 7 at 6.30pm.
Pack a picnic and come along to meet Santa and enjoy an outdoor screening of The Polar Express at the Botany Aquatic Centre.
Christmas at Ramsgate will be held at Bill Batley Square, Ramsgate Road, Saturday, December 15 from 10am to 1pm.
Families will be able to get a photo with Santa and enjoy some Christmas arts and crafts, face painting and a petting zoo.

Bayside Council’s New Year’s Eve family friendly fireworks at Lady Robinsons Beach will once again be lighting up the foreshore at 9pm on Monday, December 31.
