When it comes to offering the best pub burger in NSW, the shire has it down pat.
Huxley’s at Caringbah was last night won the Best Burger award in the 2018 AHA NSW Awards for Excellence.
And Huxley’s owner The Feros Group won Best Group Hotel Operator.
A classic New York City inspired sports bar offering American diner style food, Huxley’s is home of the Bizzo Burger, the Die Piggy Die burger, the Smokey Joe and the Double Bypass burger.
Previously, Huxley’s at Caringbah has won best specialty /emerging bar, and the Taren Point Hotel won Best Casual Dining Venue City Southern.
The best hotels of 2018 were named at the annual AHA NSW Awards for Excellence, presented at The Star Event Centre last night.
This year there were than 600 nominations for the awards across 40 categories.
Huxley’s is part of the Highfield Caringbah which also picked up the Best Pub Tab award last night.
Highfield scored number of nominations this year including City Hotel of the Year, Best Outdoor Experience, Best New or Total Re-developed Hotel, Best Casual Dining Venue – City Southern, Best Sports Bar.
The Botanical, also in Highfield, was up for Best Cocktail, Lounge or Themed Bar.
Highfield Caringbah is owned by the Feros Group which won the AHA’s 2018 Best Group Hotel Operator.
Feros Group also own The Prince at Kirrawee and the Taren Point Hotel.
Feros previously owned the Rocksia at Banksia which they sold for $36 million in 2017.
The AHA NSW Awards for Excellence honour the achievement of excellence in NSW hotels across a variety of segments including accommodation, dining, entertainment, marketing, social media, community service and talented employees.
