The Christmas Collie-Days are almost upon us.
And to celebrate members of the Moore Reserve Dog Park Community will be holding a Christmas Pawty for their canine companions this Sunday at 3pm.
The gathering is being held again following last year’s successful event which saw dogs and their owners get together to celebrate the festival season.
Dozens of dog owners exercise and socialise their dogs in Moore Reserve every day which has fenced and unfenced off-leash areas.
Moore Reserve Dog Park Community’s Tania Katsanis said there are plenty of activities organised for the afternoon.
These include Doggy Trivia, Dog Races, Best Dressed Dog competition and Musical Dog.
“This is like Musical Chairs except instead of racing to grab a chair when the music stops, it's your dog that needs to sit,” Tania said.
“And there will be a Blind Leading the Blind Obstacle Course.
“We have over $3,000 worth of prizes and we wanted to thank local businesses for their donations including Pet O Rockdale, Coles Oatley West, Green Cross Vet, Zoetis for donating Simparica product and merchandise and Beni Creative for designing our posters.
“We also want to thank Georges River Council for extending the off leash hours in the unfenced area for this event.”
The Moore Reserve Dog Park Christmas Party will be held this Sunday, November 25 from 3pm to 6pm.
Where: Moore Reserve Dog Park, Seymour Street, Oatley.
Tickets: $15 Adults and $10 for Kids.
All profits to be donated to the Sydney Dogs & Cats Home.
