Daniel Fallins finished with two wickets in the Cricket Australia XI’s rain-affected tour match against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The Sutherland spinner took 1-48 in the first innings, knocking over highly-rated Indian opener Prithvi Shaw for 66 as the visitors made 358.

Fallins made an impressive 43 from 65 balls with the bat including seven boundaries before he was bowled by Ravi Ashwin as the CAXI plundered 544.

He then dismissed Murali Vijay for 129 as India reached 2-211 in their second innings before the match ended in a draw on Saturday.

Fallins finished with 1-51.

Fallins has been in outstanding form for Sutherland so far this season, picking up three five-wicket hauls in first grade.

The 22-year-old made his Sheffield Shield debut for NSW last summer.

He also made his Big Bash League debut for the Melbourne Stars.

Fallins has signed with the Sydney Sixers for BBL08.
