Six decades of keeping the community healthy was celebrated in spring style on a sunny Saturday last weekend.
Sutherland Hospital hosted its 60th anniversary on December 1 with an open day that marked a long tradition in providing medical treatment to the residents of Sutherland Shire.
There was plenty of entertainment at the free event including performances by Ettingshausens Dance Group, Street Beatz the Shire, the St George and Sutherland Community of Ukulele Musicians and the Caringbah High School string ensemble.
NSW Attorney General Mark Speakman was a special guest, alongside Cronulla Sharks players who also made an appearance, pleasing many fans, young and old.
Kids enjoyed face painting and a jumping castle, while families who came along for the day supported the hospital by making a few tasty purchases at the market stalls.
For the car enthusiasts there was a vintage retro model show.
