Christmas season has arrived and many are celebrating by decorating their homes with beautiful Christmas displays.
The region has gotten right behind the Christmas spirit with houses across the Sutherland Shire and St George transformed by brilliant light displays.
In St George this year, the People’s Choice and Best Overall winner in the Georges River Council Chistmas lights competition was 94 Lorraine Street, Peakhurst.
In the Sutherland Shire Gamenya Place at Engadine is a go-to destination and Allambie Avenue in Caringbah once again shines bright.
Facebook page SHIRE Griswolds has compiled a list of some of the best shire streets to visit for lights this Christmas.
“We wanted to collate a few favourites to make your Griswolding journey a little easier,” said page curator Steven May from Gymea Bay.
“We've chosen ones that have as many other lights as possible along the way.
“Then once you arrive, we reckon it's worth getting out of your car and going for a wander to really enjoy it all.”
Steven suggests you allow plenty of time to view all the homes on the SHIRE Griswolds list.
“Seriously, it took us two nights to suss it all out and eye-ball them all!”
