A man will face court today after a single car crash in Banksia last month, where bystanders on the Princes Highway had to take evasive action
Just before midnight on Tuesday, November 20 emergency services were called to the highway near the Banksia Hotel after reports a Kia Rio had been involved in a spectacular crash.
Security camera footage shows the southbound Kia hitting a traffic pole before rolling across the northbound lanes of the highaway and hitting a parked vehicle.
The driver, a 31-year-old man, was pulled from the vehicle by members of the public.
He was restrained by police and taken to St George Hospital as a precaution.
The Camden South man was arrested by Crash Investigators yesterday.
He was charged with drive at a speed or manner dangerous, possess prohibited drug (x2) and Breach AVO.
He was refused bail and will appear in Sutherland Local Court today.
