UPDATE
Police have identified a woman whose body was discovered in Botany Bay yesterday.
Officers from St George Police Area Command were called to Lady Robinsons Beach, Brighton-Le-Sands, about 8.45am on Tuesday and retrieved the body of a woman from shallow water.
Following inquiries, the woman has been identified as a 75-year-old from Kogarah.
The death is not believed to be suspicious.
Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.
A post mortem examination will be conducted to determine cause of death.

Police investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was found floating in Botany Bay on Tuesday morning have appealed for help to identify her.
Emergency services were called to Lady Robinsons Beach at Brighton-Le-Sands about 8.45am following reports of a body floating in the water.
Four ambulance crews were on the scene, and an ambulance helicopter was also dispatched.
The woman's body was retrieved from shallow water, police said.
A crime scene was established and an investigation commenced, but police have been unable to identify the woman.
The woman has been described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in her late 60s or early 70s, with a slim build and short, reddish-brown hair.
She was wearing a purple jumper, khaki shorts, red shoes, and had black reading glasses.
Her death is not being treated as suspicious, a NSW Police spokesman said.
A post mortem examination will be conducted this week to determine cause of death.
