With the new Aquaman movie out for the school holidays, Oyster Bay’s Christopher Stanley is putting Sutherland Shire on the map with his own superhero vision.
From his garage, the professional Cosplayer, who has been getting into all sorts of roles for the past four years, is showing the world what he is made of.
Batman, Wolverine, Whiplash and Captain Boomerang were all born from his workshop, where all the magic happens.
The former employee of QantasLink was made redundant, so he took it upon himself to pursue his YouTube channel full-time.
It has taken him around the globe, and his trusty sidekick fans have notched up to more than 288,000 subscribers.
“I started my YouTube channel several years ago and based it around costume design,” Mr Stanley said.
“Not to mention movie reviews and selling my handmade props on the side.
“Fast forward to today and it’s taken me all over the world including the US and the Middle East.”
He was recently nominated for Cosplayer of the year at the Australian Games Awards.
“I’ve also had the privilege of working for two Oscar winning special effects companies, one being in Sydney and the other in LA,” he said.
“Every year I also attend Supanova and Oz Comic Con in costume.”
