The special care nursery at St George Hospital certainly had some kindness thrown its way this Christmas.

Volunteers who knit and crochet items for newborns returned for a visit to the nursery, to meet and be reunited with babies.

During the year the volunteers, some from Woolooware Golf Club, donate bonnets, singlets, jackets, blankets, toys and quilts.

Many items were contributed by the community, after one of the volunteers posted on Facebook a call-out for unused wool to be donated for the project.
