St George have the chance to climb off the bottom of the NSW Premier Cricket first grade table when they host fellow strugglers Western Suburbs on Saturday.
Saints welcome the Magpies to Hurstville Oval for their round nine one-day clash looking for a much-needed victory.
St George (13 points) slumped to last place in first grade after suffering a heavy nine-wicket loss to local rivals Sutherland in their last match before the Christmas break.
Saints were bowled out for just 178 at Hurstville before a century to former Australia Test captain Steve Smith saw Sutherland chase the total for the loss of only one wicket.
Wests are also struggling in 15th but will go into the match with plenty of confidence after upsetting finals-bound Penrith in their last match.
Mosman (13), Gordon, Hawkesbury (14) and Fairfield-Liverpool (16) are also languishing near the foot of the table.
Play starts at 10am.
