Wanda Surf Lifesaving Club will host their annual One Club Carnival on Saturday, January 19.
The club has a number of additions to this year’s program including events for competitors with disabilities.
There are also three events open to the general public including the 2km ski paddle, 2km beach run and surf races. Public events are free to enter with registrations taken on the day.
Last year’s carnival attracted more than 1000 athletes from local clubs, across NSW and interstate from under-9s Nippers to over-40s with similar numbers expected this year.
Wanda member Alex Clarke will bring a strong group of swimmers from his Harlee Elite Swim Squad to contest the open swim events, while Jock Athletic will have strong representation in the 2km beach run.
There will be 17 stalls outside the surf club, with the club also launching their latest inflatable rescue boat, named after Wanda member Sam Axiotis.
