Leader photographer Chris Lane was able to record the city’s faded skyline during his travels through St George and Sutherland Shire.
No matter where he was this morning – Arncliffe, Ramsgate, Miranda, Sylvania or Kurnell – his photos all recorded the same story.
The haze was lifting by early afternoon and this was expected to be hastened by showers later today.
