Know nothing about guinea pigs? Or maybe you want to share your pet with fellow admirers.
On March 10, there will be a chance to know what these cute and furry critters are all about.
Mortdale Community Hall is putting on a show of all shows for guinea pigs.
Hosted by the Greater Sydney Cavy Club, this line-up of loverable creatures will capture attention.
Come and take a look at the array of breeds on exhibit, from the fuzziest course coats right through to the lush long-haired varieties.
See the guinea pigs show-off their style in fancy dress, craziest hairstyle, and find out which cavy takes the cake for being the quickest cruncher or the champion heavyweight.
Club pet show manager, Yasmin Cassidy, says show-goers should expect a whole lot of entertainment.
“We are bringing joy and friendship back into the community not only for adults but also children who own these lovely little pocket pets,” she said.
People who have guinea pigs are invited to take part in the event.
“Our shows are so amazing and fun and a great day out for local families and children,” Ms Cassidy said.
“We are very proud of the pet shows we hold and love seeing the joy it brings.
“Bring along your adorable pet guinea pigs with you, as Greater Sydney Cavy Club will be running a pet show for the community.
“This is definitely the perfect place to be to bring out your inner superstar with your pet guinea pig, and have the opportunity to win some beautiful show ribbons and great prize packs with five fun classes to enter.”
Entry is $5 per cavy and $2 per class. Free parking and viewing entry. Doors open at 9.30am for a midday start to the pet show. Registrations close at 11.30am or an entry form can be downloaded and submitted via email by 7pm on March 9 to: gsccpets@outlook.com
