So, if you are hoping for the chance to gain a scholarship for your child it is imperative to make enquiries as early as possible and be very organised. Here are some helpful hints:

Contact the schools you are interested in your child attending. While many will send out information regarding scholarship, it is worth your while making an appointment to speak with school representatives face-to-face. That allows you to ask questions, have a quick look over the forms to be completed and clarify any concerns you have while you are at the school.

Confirm what types of scholarships are being offered - academic, cultural or sporting - and be very clear on the criteria for each.

Confirm dates: testing, when forms are due, costs involved etc.

Your  child may be required to complete a test. Be careful not to put too much pressure on them to perform.
