Sutherland and St George have secured impressive wins in the penultimate round of NSW Premier Cricket - with the Sharks an outside chance of securing a finals place.
At Glenn McGrath Oval, play finally commenced on day two of Sutherland's clash with league leaders Sydney University after day one had been completely washed out last weekend.
Jake Wilson was the star with the ball for the hosts, taking 3-26 to help bowl out Sydney Uni for 151 in 52 overs.
In reply, Sutherland reached the total for the loss of four wickets, with young wicketkeeper-batsman Aiden Barriol producing his highest score of the season in making 62 not out.
At Hurstville Oval, University of NSW reached 9-289 before declaring, giving St George little time for their run chase.
But Blake Macdonald's incredible 159 not out from just 139 balls saw St George home.
St George conclude their season when they host Mosman in a limited-overs match on Saturday. Sutherland travel to Chatswood Oval to take on Gordon.
