Two St George men will appear in court later this month following a seven-month investigation into the supply of illegal drugs across Sydney.
Officers attached to Strike Force Toallo have now charged nine people following extensive investigations with the latest arrest taking place on Monday.
About 7.30pm on a 23-year-old Queensland man was arrested at Tweed Heads Police Station, where he was charged with offences relating to drug supply, dealing with proceeds of crime, and participating in criminal group.
He was refused bail and faced Tweed Heads Local Court yesterday (Tuesday) where he was again refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today.
Strike Force Toallo was established in August of 2018 by officers from the North West Metropolitan Region Enforcement Squad to investigate drug supply in the Sydney metropolitan area.
Following inquiries, on December 20, 2018, police executed search warrants on properties in Greenacre, Kogarah, Bexley, and Canterbury.
During the search warrants, police seized cash, substances believed to be cocaine and cannabis, firearms and ammunition, knuckle dusters, and jewellery.
As a result of those investigations a 24-year-old man was arrested in Bexley, before being taken to Kogarah Police Station, and charged with offences relating to drug supply and possession, dealing with proceeds of crime, weapon possession, and participating in criminal group.
He was refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on January 22, 2019, where he was granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on March 26.
A 24-year-old man was arrested in Kogarah, and taken to Kogarah Police Station, where he was charged with offences relating to drug supply, dealing with proceeds of crime, possession of firearms, and participating in criminal group.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on January 22, 2019, where he was again granted conditional bail to appear at the same court on March 26.
