The members of Bayside Men’s Shed have been officially recognised for their work in fostering a community spirit and looking after the well-being of their members.

At last week’s Bayside Council, Mayor Bill Saravinovski together with the Member for Rockdale, Steve Kamper presented the members of the Men’s Shed with a certificate of appreciation.

The Men’s Shed have recently renovated space they use in Bestic Street and are currently working on installing a disabled toilet to make the premises fully accessible.

They were recognised for the great work they do providing opportunities for men from all walks of life, skilled and unskilled, to come together to share time with each other, swap yarns and work together on community projects.

Cr Saravinovski on behalf of his fellow Bayside Councillors also thanked the Men’s Shed for being socially inclusive and for looking after the health and well-being of its members.
