A market with 120 stalls, live music and children's rides and other entertainment will be held in Don Lucas Reserve, Wanda, on Sunday, April 7 (not Easter Sunday as originally reported).
Cambridge Markets says it organised the "giant" event following the success of a Christmas market it staged at Kurnell in 2018, which was attended by "upwards of 20,000 patrons".
Cambridge Markets director Rebecca Fox said Easter market stalls would sell "everything from women's, men's and children's clothes, to toys, homewares, jewellery, pet goods, hats, eyewear, cosmetics and body care, art and linen".
"There will also be rides and activities for children including the Giant Fun Slide, Tea Cup Ride, Big Baller Challenge, Ninja Run Obstacle course, Knights Jumping Castle, Safari Experience, craft, sand art, plaster master, pony rides and face painting," she said.
"With over 20 hot food and dessert stalls on offer, every taste will be catered for including Vietnamese, Maylasian, Chinese, Turkish, Vegetarian, Vegan, Italian and more hot food.
"Waffles, doughnuts, cup cakes, Acai bowls, ice cream, smoothies, fairy floss and more will be available all day.
"Live music will also be playing throughout the day featuring over half a dozen acts in two areas catering for a diverse range of musical tastes."
Ms Fox said the market was being held "in collaboration" with Sutherland Shire Council.
She praised the council "for their determination to activate another beautiful spot right beside the ocean for the event".
"Don Lucas Reserve is a spectacular location and it will be extraordinary to see 120 stallholders come together in one location in this absolutely gorgeous place," she said.
Ms Fox said stallholders booked for the event included Oh Mee Oh Mai, Verve Candles, Tolu Clothing, 2Duck Trading, Bellamy and Co, Antonia Scales, Forest From The Trees, The Fashion Baby, Love Duck Clothing, Bronte Goodieson Artist, and Carlotta and Gee.
"There is plenty of free parking around the market". [The operator initially said there would be a $10 fee at the northern end of the car park].
The market is on April 7 from 10am to 4pm.
