Cronulla RSL Toastmasters Club has celebrated its distinguished anniversary this month.
There were many reasons to celebrate during March. It was the club's 57th anniversary, and two of its members received awards for their highest educational achievements.
Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organisation that teaches communication and leadership skills.
Club president Christine Horrocks and vice-president of membership, Kay Wood, were the recipients of the milestone award, and have become confident communicators and speakers contributing to the community.
Heathcote resident Christine Horrocks also received the Southern Division Club Member of the Year award for her contribution to Toastmasters in the southern district where there are 30 clubs.
The Toastmasters club meets regularly on the second and fourth Thursday at 7:15pm.
